The dream destination in long range adventures is the Wanganella Banks, where Striped marlin from 200 to 400lbs swarm in plague proportions. In three days fishing, Ultimate Lady recorded 41 Striped marlin captures, breaking the New Zealand record for the most in a day, with many fish nudging the magical 400lb mark.
The Wanganella Banks are a series of large and small reefs and pinnacles that are spread approximately over a 100 nautical mile area, thus there is plenty of room for exploring and this is what the Ultimate Lady crew intend to do for the forthcoming seasons.
